Jacquard Colour Tapestry intensive with Louise Lemieux-Bérubé

Throughout the summer of 2015, prominent Jacquard weaver, Louise Lemieux-Bérubé was invited to teach a special workshop series on Jacquard colour tapestry to the members of the Weaving Data Research Group, facilitated by Kelly Thompson as part of her FRQSC-funded project, Material Codes, Ephemeral Traces. WhiteFeather worked as both a Research Assistant to Kelly Thompson on the project, as well as participating in the Weaving Data Research Group.

See more of the samples woven by participants of the workshop, including more samples woven by WhiteFeather, on the Material Codes: Ephemeral Traces website, here. These samples were produced in response to the new techniques explored during the various Jacquard design workshops led by Louise Lemieux-Bérubé in the summer of 2015.
