WhiteFeather’s work, which includes new pieces created for the Pussification of Biotech project with Jiabao Li, will be shown as part of the exhibition, Metamorphosis, curated by Anna Isaak-Ross at Ectopia Lab, Lisbon, Portugal.

“The exhibition Metamorphosis brings together themes of identity, transformation, and the seen & unseen realities. The artists working in a variety of media explore the intricate intersections of identity, history, and memory.
Harnessing the power of microscopy artists illuminate a world inaccessible to the naked eye. The magnification process reveals unseen and alternative layers of meaning and promotes reflection on environmental change, human/non-human understanding, and stem-cell differentiation. The artists challenge us to rethink how we perceive change and traditional identity constructs. In the exhibit, we see vessels that contain objects of acceptance and denial widening our understanding of self and belonging. Likewise, representations of the human body push the boundaries of our comfort zones as we contemplate the limits of intimacy. Finally, constructed landscapes question our understanding of truth, and cabinets of curiosity allow the viewer to ponder war-torn realities. Ideas of truth and ignorance, and environmental and societal consequences are delivered through a metamorphosis of the works. The exhibition prompts us to question the nature of information, and how it impacts our memory, perspectives, and beliefs...“
